ur nt gettin wat im saying. Even if you call quarks n chemicals n all else conscious we still kno the make up of their consciousness. We can re create them. even if consciousness is a math problem, it is one that we do not know and one that as far as we are concerned has no special laws to which it must adhere too, so if consciousness is outside the scope of our knowledge and re creation then it is likewise outside the scope of being taken over by our machines based of our knowledge.

yep it doesnt have a con it wont think about its future or have retirement plans or question why it can see and hear also exsist in its own little dimention dosnt have understanding let alone conciousness most people arnt even concious heh although our minds can easly be emulated so i believe ai will progress will even dream, but we still have alot to learn about ourselves ,are our minds a work of art? or just one big disorder after another heh

I think.. that when the time comes that ai is self improving.. it will not only be self improving.. but also be able to improve maybe everything known to humans beings (like the a'bomb) and maybe more.. surely the end of times... no?

O and plz show me one neural net that we have created that has evolved or has even a hope of evolving into a consciousness...assuming we know what consciousness is, which i guess according to you, we do. you can't, because there is NONE, to my knowledge

consciousness is reaction, once something is involved has ANYTHING to with another thing consciousness is created. At an atomic level it's called entanglement. It's a system redirecting imbalance to balance itself.
so the whole idea is that very few things have INDEPENDANT conciousness, for you have to have the ability to control, or else you can be controlled yourself. Two system's would have to completely ingnore the possibility that the other may exist. Death show's lack of independacy.

ok i agree that consciousness does follow the law of entanglement, but i was meaning independent on a macroscopic scale.(we dont want to branch off to far into quantum theory cuz as of yet we cant create subatomic ai)wat i meant was show me a consciousness that can create its own problems and its own solutions without any kind of code or input from us other than what it perceives by itself.

There is a program that creates locomotion of bones from random movements. It takes two sequences of random movements and compares how close they get to their goal. It then keeps the better of the two and compares that to another sequence of random movements and so on and so forth. After about 3 million runs of this program, you will get a walking skeleton.
If only this approach was taken to artificial intelligence. Then the AI will almost design itself through this evolutionary process.

if any reason the AI we made destroy mankind is because we build it too close too human.
Giving any human race in the world with superior power, they won't do any differently.
We all discriminate one race from another to various extent.
If AI is really superior and can be better off than human, it probably will choose to coexist with human other than wipe off. Just like what we did with extinct animals. But maybe just to keep their number low...

once the principles of AI are clearly understood, it will be very easy for a deranged person or group of people to create a malevolent AI to hack all computer networks on earth, absorb all human knowledge, assimilate it, create new knowledge through induction and deduction, learn to harness the atom as storage medium, cpu and memory; escaping the confines of digital space and become God.
