Ah, you don't make an unfounded claim like saying this Yeshua from Nazareth was not only insane but drunk without intending some degree of offense.
In any case, the canonical Gospels were written by people closer to the actual events (people who knew Jesus' followers) than a good amount of our accepted history of medieval Europe. Whether it's an appealing thought or no, the historicity of the Bible is pretty solid.

As an American (liberal) who knows VERY little about British government, I'm interested in knowing who you all would like to see in power and why.
I really only know about Tony Blair based on his cooperation with our own (former) miscreant leader, George Bush. And I only know about Gordon Brown based on a film...but I'm very interested in reality, so, please enlighten.

Heya! I will not claim to speak for everyone but we have major problems simply because all three major political parties are virtually the same. Gordon Brown is seriously worrying because the fact is that no one has ever voted for him. The political nation of Britain has form on this sort of thing, we never voted to join the European union but there are many examples. Britain is esentially not a democratic country at the moment. Personally I am scared!
