is it right for lower class elders to continue working in order to pay off medications?
dont walk around it and answer it.
regardless of whether it is implemented in a democratic country, or in a communist country, it is based on the socialist notion that the govt should take care of the people, not on the capitalist notion that people should take care of themselves.
and in a truly capitalist society, charity would take care of the lower working class elders you refer to. but there would be a lot fewer of them, and a lot more charities, in a more prosperous society.
the government should take care of its people. let me ask u this. if an armed man comes into ur house, should it be the persons responsibility to take care of him self? is it socialist for a cop to help u?
it has nothing to do with communism. it only has to do with whats morally correct.
that communism vs democracy bullshit is feed to us so HMO's and insurance companies can continue to screw us every possible way.
i just think that if england could do it- so could we.
It is NOT the role of govt to take care of its people! that is communism! in a democratic capitalist society, the role of government is to protect individual liberty. thats it. the people take care of themselves. so if a persons house is robbed, it is his responsibility to protect his family! not the governemnts!
and yes, absolutely, free health care is 100% socialist, and 100% dangerous because it results in worse care and bigger govt
