I think it's amusing all the people saying vista is great. You must be high. I'm posting this from Vista 64 after another NV driver crash. OS X is superior and while I love Linux as well, the thing Linux doesn't have is mainstream app support. If Linux could run Adobe CS and do color seps, it would own. For now, we have to go to OS X. Face it. Vista sucks and Mojave is a joke. Have those folks install it on a custom rig. Then get their responses. (geforce 7950gx2 4gb ram amd athlon 64 x2 4600)

Again most of those features were developed by next step before they were bought by apple and were licenced by MS first. Apple bought next step and then used those features.
And I had a mac with osx it crashed a bit certainly more than any of my windows machines.

the three you list are not for novice computer users. Even Ubuntu is not yet perfect it is goal to be the most user friendly linux distro. People talk about Windows and Mac more, because you don't need to do everything that Linux, Solaris, and BSD have you do. Yes, mac is based on unix, BSD unix to be exact.

I would say if you use Windows, you are retarded. For example, why do I need add something extra to a batch file to keep command prompt open? However, on Mac, I can make a shellscript and terminal won't quit when it is done (no need to add anything extra additions), useful when you use a self made text-based math program. Why don't any Java or C/C++ compilers come packaged with the OS? At least, Apple gives you the compilers, even if it is not on the same disc as the OS installation file.
