The dismissal of Chief Justice Iftikhar Choudry has provoked the biggest crisis since President Pervez Musharraf came to power. Is the President's grip on power weakening?
"This is a deliberate attempt to subjugate the judiciary", complains Abrar Hasan from the Supreme Court Bar Association. Three months ago, Musharraf demanded the resignation of Chief Justice Choudry, ostensibly on charges of official misconduct. When he refused to resign, Choudry was suspended, provoking nationwide outrage. "The head of the judiciary can only be dismissed by the full court", explains Abrar Hasan. Many believe President Musharraf is trying to fix the judiciary to secure his own position ahead of the election. When Choudry visited Karachi, government supporters blocked the streets, killing 35.

I was there and it was just crazy, luckily i was in a safer area of Karachi but everyone was scared to leave thier homes in fear of being killed, But anyways i did leave and the whole city usually is busy with people everywhere but at that time the streets where so empty no people no nothing, i saw cars and busses burning and a few shops that were set on fire for being open.

I believe Musharaf is a patriot who tried his best to keep Pakistan safe from invasion. Look at Iraq now when Saddam refused to toe the NWO line. Musharaf knew that if he had resisted the "emperor" Bush, he would not hesitate to order action to remove the Muslim Bomb. And India might be allowed to take over Pakistan by proxy.Imagine the carnage. The uneducated and unthinking do not understand Musharaf. I hope history will treat him better. There may be parties waiting for an excuse to invade :)

Since the day Pakistan came into being justice is just a dream for a common man. A judge is not allowed to officiate in any specific city court for more than a few months. Similarly a police officer officiating at district level like SSP is not allowed to work for a month or 2 at the seat and these actions encourage outlaws as well as violation of law here. The officiating govt is not interested in implementing the law. It's just desirous of it corruption to be unexposed in this way.
