ISKCON and the Krishna Consciousness movement is not to blame. The movement was spreading Krishna bhakti. The point of this movie was the faults of Westernization and drug-usage. In the beginning of the movie, Dev Anand even said that the Hare Krishna mantra has been spread for good, and they even showed the devotees of the movement chanting on the streets.

Please note: I have said that "ISKON was indirectly being blamed." I have not said that it was "being blamed." I agee that the Hare Krishna mantra has been spread for good. I, myself, have chanted this even though I am not a member. I have also visited their temples and do so whenever I can. I, also have a friend who is a member.
