Pakistan's coalition government is in danger of collapse after Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister who heads the coalition's second largest faction, pulled out of the government.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Sharif said he was quitting the partnership between his PML-N party and the Pakistan People's Party, the PPP.
Al Jazeera's Mike Hanna reports from Islamabad.

Yes, corruption is infecting almost all goverments in this world.
Zadari doesn't even have a college degree. He has an "honorary" degree from some institution, which means he has no real degree.
It's obvious that Benazir was the brains of the outfit.
But alas, I'm an outsider, so it's up to Pakistanis to decide who is best for them!

Nobody can save this country. Pakistan is puppet of America. I have seen one Indian movie - Kabul Express - that shows how mean are people who run Pakistan. For the sake of US, they killed their own fellows. It is also clear how Pakistani govt. had taken U turn for it's Afghanistan policy. This also shows how they care about Islamic world. They are killing their own People. I don't think even GOD(Allah) will save Pakistan as it seems Pakistan is a burden on the world just like USA.

How many protested for the judges restoration? Thousands, most people did not. How many people voted in last election 20 percent. They said the same when Zia rule ended but how many people resisted when Mushy came in. Majority of people do not care about this power politics but economy. Military is so deeply entrenched and employs alot of people. I dont buy your argument people will militarily resist. Nawaz party is bad for Pakistan due to how they cannot compromise.

Supply cannot keep up with demand (electricity). This suggests economy is growing. Plus Taliban have slowed down hydro plants by threatening workers. Check "Wapda" site. In 2007 Pak had a surplus of wheat but unrestricted exports and illegal smuggling to Afghanistan was not tackled by PML Q. Similiarily PML N and PPP have done little to tame hoarding and smuggling of food. Plus you have to factor in oil prices jumping from 70 to 140 dollars. Plus food prices are high globally.

It will be nice if it survives but chances are looking grim. You can't compare Congo with Pakistan. Situations are complete different. During past 60 years Pakistan has developed giant enemy - India which is becoming more and more powerful. During past 9 years, Pakistan has also developed another enemy - Afghanistan. India's close tie up with Israel and now with USA makes lots difference to Pakistan. Not favoring any side but the this tie is strong enough to calm down even great China.

Afganistan is landlock and dependent on Pakistan. The disputes are not comparable to US and USSR situation thus can be solved by diologue. Both Pakistan and Indian govt have largely said they want peace. India growth thus not automaticly mean Pakistan falls. Despite the troubles Non- textile exports grew 86 percent in July. Also global economic factors are hurting Pakistan similiarily to other countries.

Since the day Pakistan evolved as a new & independant Islamic estate anti-Islamic alliance is its best not letting any political or financial stability prevail here.People like Zardari & Musharraf etc are being used, paid & strongly supported by all means to sabotage Pakistan in all departments of life.Result is visible in the shape of a devilish group ruling it.The irony of fate is that this devilish group has been educated in the west and knows the secrets of stability but doesn't apply them.
