nawaz sharif started M1 but the construction company was curropt. Pervez musharraf completed M1, made another M3(faisalabad), M4 underconstruction(Multan), Hyderabad-karachi M9 under construction.

in 2000 we had surplus energy, but after that economy grew at an amazin rate of 7% btw 2003-2007 one of the best in world. people had more purchasin power, The which had 1 air conditioner now has ACs in all rooms,
but yes govt was unable to forsee that n make strategy so a failure 2day.... but good thing is that pakistan is on its own feet we can overcome this

I have just returned from 8 weeks in Pakistan, mostly in Peshawar but with some escapes to Islamabad.
The country is not nearly as bad as portrayed in the western media, it is really no worse than any other under developed 3rd world country in africa, asia or south america. However taliban mutters aside the new motorway is excellent.
